A few weeks ago, we were captivated by a sanctuary in Wadi Khadeja. A desert oasis filled with fun activities, outrageous natural scenery and serves as habitat for camels, oryx, Falcons and much more. A Luxurious Hotel Resort nestled in the sand dunes, villas with private pool, a hydrotherapy spa, perfect dining destination for the whole family and friends, it is the Al Wadi Desert Ras Al Khaimah, a Ritz- Carlton Partner Hotel, a Tier 2 property in The Ritz- Carlton Rewards.

What a remarkable place to stay for astonishing two days and one night, impeccable time to unwind during the Holy Month of Ramadan.

Tree Planting in Al Wadi Heritage Forest, the Al Wadi Nature Reserve is home to a new pilot project, the Heritage Forest, a first for Ras Al Khaimah, which aims to inspire guests to take part in preserving the environment. Guests of Al Wadi Desert can plant a Ghaf tree (National tree of the UAE) in the Heritage Forest.

The moment we enter our villa, butterflies in our stomach started to rumbling around (more and more) getting excited and excited in every step. Imagine a child with a lovely present can't wait to open it.

As we walked in bit by bit smile on our face getting bigger and bigger, our eyes are just mesmerised with all the beauty all around us. Arabian inspired interior suit for a Royal blood.

Dream closet. (no further explanation)

Aside from the stunning interior of the bedroom, impeccable closet with walk-in bath tub and the marvellous private infinity pool with a spectacular view of the desert and some Arabian Oryx passing by.

Sweet thoughtful gesture and personal note, so lovely isn't it?

We had the chance to try The Rainforest, a complete hydrothermal experience combining the best of European spa and hydrothermal therapy with time-honoured Asian wellness philosophy to create a calming haven dedicated for holistic rejuvenation. With a trail of 16 state-of-the-art hydrothermal therapies and facilities, each designed to soothe and revitalise different parts of your body.

Al Wadi Nature Reserve, you can begin the day with bird-watching, observe an Arabian Oryx basking in the sun, watch as a baby gazelle takes its unsteady steps and follow the tracks of geckos, beetles, hares and foxes with a guided nature walk. Whether it’s an introduction to falconry or archery, a fishing expedition or a seat within a camel caravan, our resort can create an itinerary that speaks to your interests and curiosities.

After pampering ourselves in the Rainforest, we visited the Interactive Falcon Show, where we witness how Falcons hunt they prey and also mingle with some Owls.

After browsing our epic villa, few walks and few dip in the pool, we headed to Al Marjan Island, RAK to gather around for Ramadan Iftar #AlMarjanRamadanTent

What a fantastic night to end after having Iftar with some new friends and take a dip in the pool before hitting the sheets

Stylish way to roam around the desert is to ride a bike under the heat of the sun

And finish it off soaking in the gorgeous infinity pool

We are so mesmerised by the beauty of Al Wadi Desert, Ras Al Khaimah. We are really looking forward to visiting again.

Between May and September 2017, Al Wadi Desert will be enhancing some of the pool villas and working towards an improved guest experience. The Al Wadi Nature Reserve remains open to guests and visitors, as well as the resort's food and beverage offerings, recreation activities, Equestrian Centre, and Spa.
